Chicago Senior Business Development Manager
Description
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for its Chicago office. Reporting to Chief Marketing Officer, the Sr. Business Development Manager will help to develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve the firm's goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve the firm's growth targets and revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional client service.
- Collaborate with the firm's partners and attorneys to develop customized business development plans for key practice areas and industries.
- Lead and mentor the business development team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets.
- Coordinate and manage the firm's participation in industry events, conferences, and sponsorships to raise the firm's profile and generate leads.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and pitches to potential clients, showcasing the firm's expertise and capabilities.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
- Prepare and manage business development budgets, track and report on progress towards goals, and provide regular updates to firm leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Minimum of 5 years in law firm experience.
- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and generating revenue through strategic business development initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with partners, attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and CRM tools.
