A large, prestigious law firm is seeking a Legal Librarian/Researcher. As a Legal Librarian, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive research support and maintaining a well-organized legal information repository for the firm. You will be responsible for managing and curating legal resources, ensuring that attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals have access to accurate and up-to-date legal information. The successful candidate will possess exceptional research and organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of legal terminology and sources.
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of proven experience in legal research and familiarity with legal databases and reference materials.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court systems, and legal research methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in using digital resources and databases relevant to legal research.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in organizing information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with legal professionals and other team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
