A large California law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary to join its esteemed law firm. As a Litigation Secretary, you will play a critical role in providing administrative support to the legal team during all stages of the litigation process. Your responsibilities will include preparing legal documents, managing case files, coordinating with various parties, and assisting with legal research. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of previous experience as a Litigation Secretary or Legal Assistant
- A strong understanding of legal terminology, litigation procedures, and court rules.
- Ability to type 70 wpm
- Proficiency in using legal software and case management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- Strong legal research skills, including the ability to analyze and summarize legal information.
- Proficient in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adept at working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
