A large, national law firm is seeking a Senior Patent Prosecution Paralegal. As a Senior Patent Prosecution Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting patent attorneys and clients in the process of securing and protecting their intellectual property rights. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of patent prosecution, from initial filing through to grant or abandonment. Your in-depth knowledge of patent laws, regulations, and procedures will be instrumental in assisting the firm’s attorneys in providing top-notch legal services to our clients.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in patent prosecution as a paralegal, with a proven track record of managing complex patent portfolios.
- Strong understanding of patent laws, rules, and procedures in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Proficient in using patent-related software and docketing systems (e.g., CPI, Inprotech, or equivalent) and MS Office suite.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing legal documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to work, with a willingness to mentor and support junior team members.
