Description

A national litigation firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Secretary. As a Civil Litigation Secretary, you will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and legal professionals in the firm or legal department that specializes in civil litigation cases. Your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative and secretarial assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of the legal team and the efficient management of civil litigation matters. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of legal procedures will be vital to the success of the firm's civil litigation practice.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a legal secretary with a focus on civil litigation.
  • Solid knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
  • E-Filing experience in both State & Federal Court a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and legal professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed during busy periods or trial preparation.
